The Araucaria Project is a collaboration between astronomers from institutions in Chile, the US and Europe. Its principal aim is to provide an improved local calibration of the extragalactic distance scale out to distances of a few Megaparsecs.
You can navigate through our website using the bar at left to learn more about the Araucaria Project. Click on Project to get a more detailed description of its scientific aims, strategies, and datasets. The People section lists the scientific collaborators on the project. Selected datasets and finder charts can be found under Data. In Publications you will find a list of papers which contain the scientific results so far obtained in the course of the Araucaria Project. In the Images section, you will find a collection of images we have obtained for the project, as well as some figures and tables highlighting scientific results.
